Thank you all so much for praying!! My heart didn’t pound quite so much today, and I feel like I received an answer as to WHY it’s pounding which gives me a lot more peace! If you’ve been reading along, you might remember me mentioning that the only part of my blood work that’s really changing is my red blood count – I’m getting anemic. It didn’t occur to me that this would make my heart work harder to oxygenate my blood until a friend said she had the same symptoms when her hemoglobin was low. When I asked my oncology nurse if this could be my issue, she said that 10-14 days after my treatment is when my counts would drop – so yes! The good news is that they should go back up again in a few days! Meanwhile, I’m to continue pushing fluids to keep hydrated which keeps my blood volume up.
It felt so good to get out of the house and see friends today! I was able to go to my Moms in Prayer group this morning, visit my chiropractor, and the photo above is from student ministry at church tonight. Yes I will continue to praise God in all things!!
I also got to pick up my fun mail again today! Two cards and a Hy-Vee gift card from soapmaking friends, and another card and Hy-Vee gift card from a church friend. So very grateful for every gesture of kindness!!
Not sure what I would do without all your encouragement and prayers!! I feel so very loved. THANK YOU.

don’t ya love when it just adds up?! at least you have an answer as to why. Your faith and your journey is an inspiration to so many people. And when this is all done with, I look forward to how this experience for you will bless even more. “for I know the plans I have for you, thus declares the Lord…”

The why was definitely worrying me because herceptin (one of the HER2 antibodies in my treatments) can actually contribute to congestive heart failure, and I didn’t want to head in that direction for sure!
