This has been a very memorable celebratory weekend!! Not only does it mark three years cancer free, but it was also Mother’s Day and Tara and Ty’s wedding weekend! I am so grateful to be feeling absolutely amazing for this momentous occasion! It was a very intimate gathering of immediate family, grandparents and a few close friends at the Mildred B Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Tara gathered the flowers for her bouquet from Trader Joe’s, Walmart and the side of the road. She had plenty left over for this beautiful Mother’s Day bouquet for me!

Since the wedding was just yesterday, we don’t have the official photos yet, and we didn’t get very many candid shots – but here are a few of my favorites:

This has been a year of much spiritual growth as I have continued to listen to the Lord’s voice, and follow what He says. In fact, He told me about a year ago that I was to write a book about how to hear His voice and the reasons why we don’t. Last fall I started working out what that would look like, meeting friends with book writing experience, and writing my story! I’ve never written a full-length book before, so initially it seemed a bit daunting. I’ve taken small, consistent steps, kept up a manageable pace, and hope to be finished by the coming fall. I have felt insecure about my writing abilities along the way, but I trust that the Lord has given me the words, and believe that He will use this experience for the benefit of others. I look forward to seeing what this next year will bring!
