What a beautiful Christmas Day!! I slept so much better last night thanks to some Benadryl, but I could tell my brain was still pretty foggy when I woke up. The girls opened their stockings first thing, then we had a nice big breakfast, Kent read the Christmas story from Luke 2:1-20, and we all opened presents. You can see in the photo that I got my first chemo hat from Kylie. She also embroidered the pink ribbon on a gray hoodie for me. The pink roses came from a sister-in-law in Albuquerque – 4 dozen of them!!
The girls went to work for a few hours, and I went back to bed! It was another nice hour and a half nap, then Kent woke me up for lunch. More like a snack since we were going to have Christmas dinner at his brother’s house across town at 3:30. My tummy has been feeling better today. I haven’t felt really hungry, but I always feel better after eating and it gives me a bit of energy! There were a few things that didn’t taste quite like they used to. I seem to be craving protein today – sausage for breakfast and ham for Christmas dinner tasted especially good!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!! I think I’ll be turning in early tonight…hoping for more energy tomorrow!

I did sleep well!! But still feeling like my head isn’t quite attached to my body this morning. Trying to figure out what sounds good to eat. 🤔

Those roses are stunning!! And you look marvelous in your cozy hat. 😍 Prayers for restful sleep! It must be difficult to eat when your tummy feels off and things don’t taste as they should. Glad you enjoyed your sausage and ham!

Thank you, Denise! Slept very soundly. Might need to find some more of that sausage…

Beautiful roses!! Oh, now when I see a woman out and around wearing a stocking cap, or other, I double take to look for strands of hair. If not, I know they need some special prayers.
Amy Warden
Sweet. That will be me in a few more weeks. ♥️
