Like literally, my tissue expanders got pumped up like bicycle tires this afternoon by Dr. Storm. He was SO excited for my awesome pathology report! In fact after he left the room, the nurse practitioner told me he was like a kid in a candy store when he found out earlier today. I thought that was so sweet!

He also invited me to go ahead and set the date for my exchange surgery (remove the tissue expanders and put in permanent implants) since the schedule would likely get filled due to the backlog from COVID. So we picked July 14. I’ll have more information about the exact time later, but it’s just a day surgery and Kent should be able to wait in the waiting room and see me afterward this time!

After that appointment, Kent and I went to the chiropractor. It was my first visit since surgery, and I only had my hips and neck adjusted – even though I know my back needs it too! There’s no easy way to get it done without pressure to my chest, so I’m just going to wait on that.

Today’s fun mail included cards from extended family and my aunt and uncle who also sent the super cute and comfy pajamas in the photo. It’s so comforting to know that you’re still thinking of me and praying for me!!

And now, here’s a video that Tara shared with me today – just for fun!
